Inventing new spaces of reality full of power and possibility; a message of goodwill on Winter solstice

The red traveller stands upon snowy peaks;

of violent granite shafts erected by strength and valour,

wondrously and ebulliently they gleam and glisten

under the golden rays of a new dawn.

The sagacious crimson knight envisions glorious futures

He has a message to deliver this winter across the realm;

one of freedom and power that will reverberate in the landscape of infinite imagination.

Does one look up in the sky and see?

A dashing and dazzling streak of ruby dances across the cosmos.

I hold in my hand the quill again. Dipping it in the infinite ink-well.

My candle flickers in the wind.

On the longest night of the year.

It’s the 21st December remember…Winter has come.

Time for the cosmic joker to wrap up in some layers, and throw a few logs of wisdom onto the fire of perception.

No hibernation in this season of winter though. I shall stay awake and carry on writing through the ice and frost. The fire of desire that burns fiercely deep inside will provide the heat I need to move along the creative road of power.

The incessant glow of imagination and desire emanates from my being and it will melt the ice of consensus reality.

As the winter solstice arrives, Earth is on it’s highest tilt in orbit from the sun. That wondrously luminous ball of light may have dimmed slightly for a few days, but it will emerge on our horizon with greater intensity on the 25th of December. In a way the sun shall be awakened and be born on the 25th December. Wait … hang on a minute… the sun will be born on the 25th of … December, isn’t that??? Surely a coincidence.

Am I getting biblical here?

Maybe. The preacher archetype is deeply imbedded within my psyche. This vociferating archetype desires emerging from within consciousness and is pervading my thoughts with religious harangues.

”No not today preacher, get down from the pulpit. I would leave that worn out soap box alone as well.”

I feel connected more with the storyteller archetype. Yes a little story about my day perhaps.

There some ruminations I can eject from my mind and spread out on the page. Here is a buffet of ideas and imagery for you to nibble on over the festive period. A philosophical interlude to help digest the boredom of watching James Bond films, repeats of ‘Only Fools and Horses’ Christmas specials, and Home Alone 1,2 but not 3 as it’s crap.

Christmas is a story itself, one that many are enraptured by.

Stories of cosmology and creation run richly through our history. Fantastic stories that captivates people’s imaginations and hook them up with ideologies of what is creation and reality.

The power of stories intrigue and mesmerise people’s minds, it can almost have a hypnotic effect on those who listen and read them. So when one is engrossed by a story of what is reality and creation, one can become convinced that this is the only truth.

If the story being told is conveying the message that everything is created from an outside source. Then it’s a con.

Stories that describes laws, limits and parameters of the space and reality that one is living. Then it is a con.

History has witnessed how people have bought into cosmologies that: persuaded them they are not the centre of power and the creative force in their own reality. Instead it’s all coming from a god, or deity or a universe that is governed by specific spiritual or physical laws.

An individual has their own infinite creative power and imagination, to write one’s own tremendously adventurous stories.

As a transformational coach I always encourage and support a client to write their own story, and reject all other stories created by another.

The power and freedom lies in an individual creating stories enriched page after page with: imagination, colour, adventurous life, excitement and magic.

A few thoughts have been brewing in the pot of my imagination. They began to percolate and bubble when I meandered by the river earlier today. I felt like a causal stroll for fresh air and ideas, and to enjoy the open space around.

A mystical wintry mist enchanted me this afternoon as it hanged poetically over a blanket of velvet sable.

A river runs just outside from where I live. I have always loved being close to water. The element has for me such a powerful and alluring quality. Whether it’s flowing with vital energy and motion as rivers, or it’s serenely still as lakes – both seduces me cerebrally.

I’m enraptured by trickling streams of pure crystalline, rolling deep turquoise oceans, waterfalls gushing violent shafts of cream, and dark and murky rivers. Water stirs up electricity, energy and emotion within my being.

Water is alive and I feel it in the bones. I’m deeply connected and drawn to it.

If you’ve read some of my previous blogs you’ll have notice I make many references to water, and the various forms it takes when it pours into different locales. I sprinkle plenty of aquatic themed imagery and metaphor throughout my writing.

Today it really got to me the river. Although it was still as night.

The stillness and serenity can be so majestically violent sometimes – it bursts the hard barrier of this reality.

Where I’m going with all this?

I’m not sure yet but it will all spew out eventually from the bowels of my vivid imagination.

Perhaps I’m going nowhere at this moment- and I’m just feeling poetic and enchanted this evening. Or maybe I’m telling a story to convey a powerful message but I have decided to do it in a discontinuous way.

Discontinuity there’s not enough of it on this planet. That’s for sure.

It breaks up the smooth running of the harmonious and monotonous reality machine. To shake things up with new ideas, images and energies, you need to go outside continuity.

Frantically and frenzied in a state of sheer rhapsody I’ve been painting these past few days. It’s left me overflowing with joy and energy.

Enthusiastic splashing of colours on canvases with proliferation is intoxicating. Strokes of spontaneity have enlivened and enriched my being.

I feel alive and free in my own personal reality and space.

I’m creating personal portraits of reality – that go beyond the mechanical nature of reduced Earth culture and the consensus reality of what is possible.

When I paint with energy and expression this overflows into my personal reality. Walking outside becomes so fascinating, everything appears to radiate and pulsate with aliveness.

This afternoon emotion came pouring out of me in a euphoric sweat from the pores of my ecstatic skin. My dermis felt like a wafer thin membrane. That sliver of membrane was the only thing separating my racing hot blood, twisted sinews, and enraptured soul from the bare leafless trees, the icy still river and the grey sky above and around me.

My head was tilted backwards, and I roared with laughter and exultation. And as I breathed – I felt the entire space around me do so simultaneously.

Space seemed greater and that I was in a deeply profound way connected with it. Space was expanded by my consciousness and imagination.

Ah yes that’s what I wanted to write about tonight…

The power and freedom to create is greater when personal space is expanded within, and the boundaries of that space are set by the individual, and their imagination – as opposed to the boundaries of consensus reality.

Consensus reality and it’s guardians tell stories, just theirs’s is about limited personal power and creativity.

Through the propaganda, media, government policies, education, religious messages, families, peers, medical officials and scientists – there is the telling of polished and wrapped up stories.

These stories have many names such as: Cause and the effect, Collectivism, Adam and Eve, The need for structure and organisation, Transhumanism, Quantum theory, Psychology, Santa Claus, etc etc. The Limiting ideologies go on and on.

The fabricated and glossy veneered stories created to induce a hypnotic effect upon the populace. Entrain people into seeing everything as one big web of inter-connection in a pre-set and pre-determined universe, while instilling an appeal for reducing down reality and sense of possibility so one fits into everything like a harmonious strand.

Manipulate an individual to accept the oneness of everything as the way to survive and to live. Entrap an individual to walk into a space without knowing it. A space within to exist which is presented as everything but is in fact one of reduction and limitation, that eventually depletes personal power.

Space is an aspect of reality that influences power immensely. Shrink space and you diminish power. Creating a reality you desire and through imagination is the path to take.

The road of unlimited possibility via the avenue of imagination is one of tremendous space.

People are presented a certain space within which to exist in by reality manufacturers. Consensus reality shows the boundaries and programmes people can accept within this space, and anything that can be perceived outside of these limits is not real. The idea is to hoodwink people into thinking, visioning and desiring small.

Cosmologies that celebrate deities or universal laws (whether science, quantum mechanic or new age fluff) are promoted and instilled with stories full of ideas and rules that beguile people into believing they are not as powerful or free as they really can be. That its all determined either by the genes or the fate of a god.

These stories often entrain perceptions within the individual to view themselves as just a drop in a vast cosmic ocean. Imbedded within that is the illusionary need for togetherness, make people feel guilty for wanting more for themselves over others. Tie this in with limitation and reduction in perception, then personal power and sense of possibility shrinks further down.

The key selling point of presented spaces within many stories: showing people a way to live and be happy by following laws ( science and religion), knowing what to do next and what to expect will happen next ( cause and effect or continuance), and connecting and unifying with everyone as the way forward and the ultimate goal ( collectivism).

These stories has a beginning, a middle and the ending is flexible to suit propaganda, though the ending usually based on unification and justified reduction in order save planet Earth or ascend it.

Storytellers throughout history whether they were: priests, kings, politicians or scientists – have told stories of creation and reality. Cosmologies have been fabricated and told to: cajole generation after generation to live and play roles that are defined, limited and singular (usually subject or slave), and in a space with limited parameters that obey laws of cause and effect.

Elites present the space and populaces accept that space to live in, and abandon choosing to live in a space they have invented.

Security, acceptance and unity the pay offs falsely sold.

The cost is true individual freedom and power.

Those in history who have ever desired control and power over people have used the the brainwashing of the one and weaved it into stories to further mind control people.

One God, one universe, one reality, one cause, one effect, one truth, one life, one vision, one way, one true love, one world government.

It could be one giant yellow rubber ducky that lives on top of mount Fuji, in a astronomically sized porcelain bathtub (Fuji water is some of the best). It doesn’t matter as long as it’s ONE of something.

The monolithic hypnosis of one is in a way a story.

Why everything have be about the one?

How about many unique, separate and infinite ways to live.

When the artist shows up or the fictional writer they are interrupting the flow of the story, and the entrancing allure of oneness. The mechanical nature of things are disrupted. Sacred geometrical patterns of harmony are tossed aside for images of real dynamic creative power and spontaneous imagination. The relentless and imaginative artist paints, writes or composes new ways and realties that don’t follow in a harmonious or set pattern.

Their art is separate and individualistic. The anthesis of the one giant mass of pink fluff.

Artists creating prolifically and inventively break the routine day to day experiences and of what is deemed possible. They smash for themselves and their audiences the illusionary glass ceilings, and what emerges through the shards is vital energies and emotions concealed in dimensions.

Reality expands. New layers and dimensions invented and discovered. Life becomes full of LIFE.

What artists also do is invent new spaces. They create them on canvases and in novels, or in symphonies.

These spaces are invented spontaneously without precedent and without a need for context or continuity. The imagination is the driving force behind it all.

That’s why I go directly to imagination in what I create and in the work I do with clients. I strive to take individuals out of preconceived notions of what to do next and how. There is no how – only why.

As I write I see the imagery of Salvador Dali work come forth.

Yes that was an individual who shattered many perceptual ceilings of glass, and built on the bare frame of those fragments – a thousand palaces. He did it through creating unique and phenomenal surrealist paintings which he composed on epic scales and proportions.

Salvador Dali is perhaps one of the greatest example of an individual, an artist who tore up the rule book. He made a mockery of consensus reality, and of what could possibly be painted on the canvas. His paintings were composed of ridiculous images sensationally placed in bizarre situations; full of confusion and conflict, and without a reason for them. Yet he painted them as if they belonged there naturally, and he did this with incredible detail and talent.

Dali would have been declared a lunatic for his surreal and vividly wild imaginings – if it wasn’t for his obvious skill and talent at painting them.

What Dali did was never seen before. He essentially rejected reality and the space presented to him. Instead he invented his own unique realties and spaces in the paintings he created. Dali did this with full conviction and power.

He invented new spaces that were filled and bursting with imaginative and fantastical dreams, that appeared comical and of the wall in essence. Dali painted for the audience his own perspective of the cosmic joke and what he thought was possible to create.

Dali’s work received a bewildering and varied mix of reactions from critics and colleagues. His work provoked confusion, disgust, admiration, adulation and attack.

Why such controversy sprung from his work? In my view he was showing his audience- the world, that what we think is possible is actually a rather bad joke and not to be taken literally.

Dali adroitly said this about reality and it’s perceptual illusions:

”Surrealism is destructive, but it destroys only what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision.”

”One day it will have to be officially admitted that what we have christened reality is an even greater illusion than the world of dreams.”

Salvador Dali

Genius. Dali didn’t hold back. He stood by his art and he made no apologies.

Creating power in your own reality, and living it in an expanded personal space that’s full of: adventure, joy, abundance and freedom – requires full conviction and commitment.

There is no half-way or middle ground.

You’re either all in like the riverboat gambler or you’re just dipping your toes in and second guessing. Don’t pander to others or consensus reality.

Envision the story you desire writing and then throw all you have into composing a fantastic story full of adventure, energy and life.

Then after that write another story. And another, and another.

Proliferation over Reductionism.

One of my favourite writers Phillip K Dick was a master at creating his own space and realities. He was prolific and wrote a massive volume of sci-fi books throughout his life.

No doubt in my mind – he saw how anyone could invent their own space and reality- he saw also how people are hypnotised to accepting a limited reality and a space presented to them. A few quotes from Phillip K dick that describe how he perceived the nature and power of imagination in creating reality.

” I am a reader. I am a writer. People assume I do these things to escape. You couldn’t be more right. I’m escaping a world I don’t like. A world I have no control in. In this world, I am nothing. I am a colour, a height, a weight, a number. But in the world of books and writing, I am amazing. I am powerful. I am different. People are better. Worlds are endless. Change is possible. Life is manageable.”

”Because today we live in a society in which spurious realities are manufactured by the media, by governments, by big corporations, by religious groups, political groups… So I ask, in my writing, What is real? Because unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power. They have a lot of it. And it is an astonishing power: that of creating whole universes, universes of the mind. I ought to know. I do the same thing.”

”Maybe each human being lives in a unique world, a private world, a world different from those inhabited and experienced by all other humans.”

Phillip K. Dick

Another master of creating reality.

Enough said.

There’s plenty to chew on and digest over this festive period.

May you have an appetite for inventing new spaces of reality – full of unlimited possibility and power, and invent some space for a few extra mince pies.

Consider this blog my present to you this Christmas. An offering of good will. I wish a Merry Christmas to all my readers.

Though the pagan in me would prefer wishing you a Happy Solstice (Yule).

I shall return again before the year is out…
