The grotesque sterile synthetic neutrality of Artificial Intelligence is becoming a reality. And it’s hurtling towards human civilisation with increasing rapidity. To some extent, its already upon us, when you observe the states of mind and consciousness of many on this planet.
Vast numbers of people are transforming themselves into Artificial intelligence not via biomechanical methods or synthetic hard wiring, though that is not far down the pipeline of the transhumanist agenda. But through their mode of thinking, how they act and behave. Through the language they speak and write.
People are rejecting their own innate creative impulses and allowing their minds to become machine like.
The emergence of AI has manifested as a horrific reflection of what human civilisation has allowed itself to become. AI is an expression of this culture.
Presently there is the technological capabilities to launch AI. But its ideology germinated and flourished in a culture that has for the best part for century been pervasively mechanical.
For decades: academics, politicians, lawyers, scientists, and corporations have been using insane language. Mechanical, neutral, and deadened language, that’s devoid of expression and life.
As I have wrote about frequently, the obsession for information or data has become the prevailing theme of our age. The information age centres the acquisition and dispensing of data as the pinnacle of reality. For what one should strive for.
Peruse through an article by the Times (come to think it any newspaper really), perhaps a political speech, a corporate memo, or a thesis composed by a university student, and you will find writing that would remedy insomnia.
Writing and language that is dead as a fucking Dodo, all life squeezed out amongst the contents of its banal words and sentences. Because language to the mechanical mind can only be about filtering, presenting, and dispensing data. And people are being conditioned to embrace this robotic quality of language and writing.
Data is for many people like crack. They just can’t get enough of it. As if the consumption of it will in some mystical way transcend their realities. Bring them a giant cosmic orgasm.
I don’t feel I’m over exaggerating here. Society is pullulated with data junkies looking for their next hit of information. Injecting (I mean uploading) bits of data into their cerebellum, all under the false perception that it will transform their reality.
It’s upon the pillars of information addiction that AI is being built upon. Transhumanists and AI proponents view everything as information.
The radiant laugh of a joyful child, something magical and enchanting. Not in the mind of AI, it’s just the transfer of information from one set of nodes to another in a biomechanical unit.
Rapturous melodies of the New York Philharmonic orchestra blasting out Mozart’s symphony. 41 in C major that reverberate throughout the Lincoln centre, music and magic.
Not according to the AI mind, it’s actually: ‘’ just different sound waves carrying certain information, travelling from separate nodes of mechanical outputs that interact at certain interfaces within the parameters of a confined space to create a specific vibration, it’s purely information transfer’’.
Really??? So, when Mozart composed his symphonies, sorry ‘formulated’ to use the AI term – they originated from a space of information that required solely scientific calculation. No, of course not! he was creating from a space of intense imagination.
AI is intended to invade and impose upon every aspect and detail of our lives, and for many it will happen without much attention being paid or difference felt, for many people have evolved to be machine like – on the level of the psyche.
However, there are many people who see the absurdity of AI. There are people becoming increasingly aware of the danger of AI and can see the dystopian nightmare it will bring; that would make an episode of Black Mirror look like a merry family picnic in a tranquil meadow on a sunny afternoon.
The semi androids who surrendered their freedoms, minds and creative impulses will undoubtedly embrace the micro chipping, genetic synthesising, and being connected to the cloud; and see it as a great evolutionary step for humanity. These people surrendered long ago and did it by rejecting their own imaginations.
I won’t waste my time reasoning with androids. Convincing them that imagination is far greater than having your smartphone wired into your brain.
I’m speaking to the conscious human. The organic being. The individual. The soul that wishes to be free and live life with tremendous power, energy, and LIFE. The imaginative individual!
Boil it down and strip away the flashy technical jargon and absurd reasoning of AI, and AI is lack of imagination.
Bored unimaginative scientists, genetics, technocrats are so cut off from their imaginations, they think controlling and creating an artificial reality – will in some way reconcile them with their own imaginations and transcend it.
They delusionally infer that if reality can be organised technologically and structured, and people can be vectored into AI frameworks and controlled within the mainframe of a supercomputer, then this will enhance human potential and capacity.
What has emerged ever increasingly, is vast numbers of the educated class buying into the ideology of AI. They have been convinced, (maybe hoodwinked a better term) that AI will solve major global problems and transform humanity.
Because their inference is that AI is superior in its capacity to solve problems, as it can process, analyse, and sift through data with greater speed and without the inhibiting and irrational emotions of a human.
This is the crucial point though, Life is not information, it’s not data. Reality is layered and multidimensional, consciousness is far reaching and beyond information. The individual, the self is infinite in scope and far beyond the spheres of data.
As for those things called ‘Emotions’. They get a bad rap. Emotions give sentience. They give reality and experience profundity. Yes, there are challenging and debilitating emotional states one can experience. But on the flipside, emotions can be tremendously uplifting, energising, and euphoric, they enliven and enrich one’s sense of living and being.
AI whatever its proponents argue, is a closed system and is finite. AI requires predictability and controllable variables for its algorithms to work. Now individuality, uniqueness, emotion, and spontaneity don’t work in an AI system.
Which explains why key areas of Human society are designed to encourage and condition people to think and act linear and mechanically. As opposed to being spontaneous and poetic. As a corollary, use language instead that mirrors the mechanical nature, is what is encouraged and prevalent.
Organisation, structure, and function. Chains of cause and effect. These are the Mechanical thoughts and sound bites of the android.
Corporations particularly the mega ones, are embracing AI. Firstly, they think it will increase profits due to the saving costs in human labour. And secondly, because AI is capable of producing with greater efficiency and capacity. But it’s not only in manufacturing or industry where AI is taking over. It’s emerging in Art and media.
Journalists, painters and writers are taking one more step to robothood with the increasing application of AI in writing articles, creating artwork, and scripts for films and television.
Human minds transforming into machine minds. Where being actively creative and imaginative is replaced with being inputters of data and AI programmers. It’s one step towards the goal of fusing the human with AI and creating a Brave New World.
The glaring error in many peoples’ logic is that they think AI – is and will be a brilliant advancement in human civilisation. The naivety and stupidity is breath-taking. It illustrates how people are truly becoming androids if they base their reasoning AI is superior – upon the absurd fact it can: produce, create, design, and edit a movie or a book within the matter of minutes.
And so what?
Complying and arranging data into a particular formation is not creativity. And what consideration for the quality and artistic merit of the work produced. What because it can turn out mediocre crap in minutes, that makes it all singing and all dancing.
AI creativity is simply: Data input Data output. Data churned Data regurgitated. Crap in Crap out. Forget the pretentious and sophisticated terminology AI enthusiasts spout regarding it’s creative capabilities. It’s a pile of shit.
You the soul. The individual. Possesses the creative capacity. That’s infinite in scope and power. Though It requires imagination to access it.
I’m writing at this moment, but my primary focus is not on how long it takes me compose a blog, nor is to purely present piles of data formulated and sequenced in a neutral style.
Sure, to some degree I’m presenting a point of view but that is only part of the reason I write. Writing is for me artistic expression, it’s a form of expressing imagination, my unique imagination. Writing is creating something new, which is fresh and alive, as opposed to stale and dead.
A writer is onto something if he can spark something within the mind of readers or evoke an emotion that’s beyond the humdrum.
Whatever the topic, subject, or setting, a writer can use his own creative power and imagination to conjure a response and feeling from readers through the imagery he paints in their minds. The pace he sets for the reader. The energy he projects into his words. The uniqueness and originality that he brings to the page. The sweat he pours on the page. The blood and guts he bares for his readers. The striking metaphors he uses. The way he shapes his sentences and makes his words dance. And some edgy satire thrown in to illustrate and emphasise the absurdity or profundity of a situation.
The language that the writer uses must be alive. That is the key. His words must be ELECTRIC. Send shock waves right to the core of his readers.
The individual who writes, can use language that is far reaching from the AI android that spews: vagueness, sterile neutrality, simplified generalities, and tedious paragraph after paragraph of lifeless bullshit.
AI writing and so called ‘creating’ is pure narcosis.
The power of language can’t be downplayed. It’s major in terms of energy and consciousness that an individual emanates. It’s major in the consciousness of the individual and of this planet.
Engaging with your imagination and intensely living through it involves connecting intimately with language and doing so to write with power. And the proliferation of language and writing takes the individual to new levels of power.
Imagination takes you to new spheres of language, poetry, and expression that open you up to unchartered places and possibilities. It takes you to new spaces of expanded consciousness. New layers of reality. New spaces of energy and perception. New spaces of power. New territories of self that have yet to be explored.
AI is reduction of language and boiling it down to piles of meaningless words and strands of data, arranged in formulated sequences in a futile attempt to prove significance in the data it’s complied. When in truth it’s an expression of death. Data compiled to represent nothing but death.
This is where civilisation is at now. The crossroads. And it comes down to the individual. It’s Life force vs Living Death.
One direction leads you to surrender and melding with the sterile neutrality of AI where you abandon your creative impulses for dystopian robothood and servitude. Which leads ultimately to death of the soul and psyche.
The other direction puts you in the driving seat going down the road of infinite possibilities. Where you embrace your own unique imagination and creative impulses. Stepping into the unknown and going on the adventure of creating and living the reality you desire and envision for yourself.
Living with imagination is moving you into vast undiscovered spaces of tremendous perception, energy, and power.
It’s no brainer really…
